| 内容介绍 : | Broke composer Chow Ching wants to wed his sweetheart Lee Hung, but Mrs Lee has already promised her daughter to a rich man. Chow's screenwriter buddy Cheung Tsi-chiu devises a plan to borrow money from the taxi-dancer Mui Lai to presumably finance their business and manages to convince the snobbish mother to accept the betrothal money to be paid by instalment to green light their wedding. But Mui's endless pestering of Chow to pay back the money invariably arouses an attitude of hostile suspicion in Lee, who subsequently leaves home. This time, Chow claims to be an undercover detective embroiled in a cat-and-mouse chase with Mui to ease the mind of his wife, who in turn steals from her mother to aid his investigation. Too wise to be fooled, Mrs Lee exposes the scam by disguising as a wealthy man to extract the truth out of Mui. (Quoted from DVD cover) |
