| 内容介绍 : | Kong Man-choi meets his long-lost fiancee Lau Sheung-ling but her stepmother Yiu Sheung-fung holds him in disdain in view of his declining family fortune. Yiu has her eye on her husband Ying-lung's wealth and schemes for Lau to marry her nephew Chun-wing. While Ying-lung is away on business, Kong is framed for arson and burglary. Luckily Sheung-ling and Chun- heung prove his innocence. Kong survives a murder-for-hire plot and takes shelter in an abandoned temple where he meets a family friend, the Eighth High Lord, who recommends him to the emperor to inherit his late father's post. Kong returns home and is shocked to hear that Lau has drowned herself. The maid Man-hung reveals that Lau faked death to escape a forced marriage to Chun-wing and has since been living in hiding. Kong hurries to the Water Moon Nunnery and rejoins his wife. The vicious nephew is justly punished for his crime. (Quoted from DVD cover) |
