内容介绍 :	A young woman Mui Wan-kam tries to kill herself by jumping into the harbour, but is rescued by Fong Chung-hang and his wife Sin Mei-shan. They take her to the hospital where she is treated by the doctor Shek Chi-kong. After Mui's release, Fong and Sin receive her into their home. Soon afterwards, Sin dies in childbirth. Before she passes away, she asks Mui to take care of her children. Fong's cousin Kam Wing, in collusion with his girlfriend Lau Yu-ang, swindles Fong of his family fortune. Furious and desperate, Fong kills Kam and Lau, and commits suicide. Mui becomes a songstress and brings up Fong's son Chi-chung and daughter Mei-lan. Mei -lan meets Shek and falls in love with him, but Shek finds himself attracted to Mui. Thinking that Mui has stolen Shek from her, Mei-lan storms out of the house. Mui runs after her and is knocked down by a car. When Mei-lan learns the story of her parents and Mui, she rushes over to Mui's funeral and kneels down before her coffin, begging her forgiveness.
