| 内容介绍 : | Mak Chung-cheong leaves home to join the army. His elder brother Pak Wo, a gambler heavily in debt, tells Mak's wife Lee Yuk- ngor that her husband has died, and disinherits her. Pak's wife Kam, who is having an affair with the local magistrate Wu Yan, cajoles Wu's subordinate Cheung Hei to rob Pak. When Cheung accidentally kills Pak during the scuffle, Kam pins the crime on Lee, and Wu immediately puts Lee on death row. Mak, who has become a court official on his expeditions, returns. He does not believe in Lee's guilt and demands a re-trial, but Wu refuses and issues an execution order. On the execution ground, Cheung, stung by his conscience, admits his guilt. Mak administers justice to Wu and Cheung, and is happily united with Lee. Kam commits suicide by jumping down a well. (Quoted from DVD cover) |
