| 内容介绍 : | Cheung Chau-sang trespasses on the imperial garden on a moonlit night and falls in love at first sight with Princess Lotus Screen. The princess, whose life is at stake after stumbling upon the illicit affair of Empress of the West Palace, is saved by Cheung from the scene of arson...Time passes. Cheung again comes to the rescue of Lotus who appears under the pseudonym of Chu Mo-lin at his doorstep and marries her in the presence of their neighbour Uncle Nine. A daughter Ah-ling is born to the couple. Lee Wan-hing, the cousin of the West Empress who is expelled for harassing the princess, takes revenge by setting fire on the premises. Meanwhile, Cheung is appointed the chief magistrate of Shuntian by the emperor conducting a tour in the district incognito but returns to find his wife and daughter abducted. Lotus, who braves Lee to protect her daughter, is arrested for murder. Cheung, who cannot bring himself to condemn the wife to death, meets the same fate after a failed attempt to flee with Lotus. The identity of Lotus as a royal descent becomes known to Uncle Nine, a eunuch on the run, who has caught a glimpse of the royal jade pendant on Ah-ling and instructs the daughter to lodge a grievance with the emperor against the villain and reinstate the princess in distress.
