| 内容介绍 : | Mak Siu-chuen leaves his wife Tai Kwai-chen and niece Siu-kuen for life and work on a ship and loses contact with the family following the outbreak of war. Tai soon gives in to vanity and moves in with a smuggler, forcing Siu-kuen to live in misery. Mak returns home to confront Tai, who tries to gun him down but the pistol misfires. Inspector Ngai Kwok-chung investigates the case. Unable to defend himself, Mak flees back into the ship, with Ngai following on his heels. Siu -kuen, brought on board as a witness, acts cautiously to protect Mak but loses her balance and falls overboard. Without hesitation, Mak plunges in to rescue the girl. Moved by their plight, the inspector surrenders his authority, resigns his post and joins in their flight. |
