| 内容介绍 : | Orphan girl Yip Piu-ling submits to a forced marriage to the gambling addict Chan Chuen before Pak Mo-kau tracks down the Yips to honour a marriage betrothal contract made with Piu-ling by their parents. Piu -ling's half-sister Piu-hung, under duress by her authoritarian mother, attends the nuptials ceremony on Piu-ling's behalf and confides in her husband after their marriage. An impoverished Piu-ling shows up on their doorstep with her son, Chau- ho, and is persuaded to stay as a wet nurse. Chau-ho grows up to become a violent addict like his father, slapping Piu-ling's face at her kind admonishment. A badly bruised Chan, spotted by his wife outside a gambling house, vows to kick his habit. Squirming with remorse as he learns his birth story from Pak and wife, Chau-ho embraces his mother and his rehabilitated father. (Quoted from DVD cover) |
