| 内容介绍 : | Ting Yin-choi, houseguest of Minister Chan, falls in love with the servant girl Mui Kuen-kuen, much to the distaste of Chan's son Cho-sang. At the instigation of Ting's servant Ah Fuk, the young master assumes Ting's name and tricks Mui into sleeping with him in the pitch-dark night. Mui is expelled for bringing disgrace on the family. Cradling her newborn child in her arms, Mui embarks on a search for Ting in the capital. Ting, who tops the imperial exams, believes in Chan's tidings that Mui has eloped with another man and agrees to marry the princess. Mui reaches the princess, accuses Ting of betrayal. Vehemently denying the allegation, the scholar takes the case to the royal court where Cho-sang and his accomplice Ah Fuk spill the beans. The mishaps have taken its toll on Mui who resolves to become a nun. An imperial edict changes the course of events, joining Mui with Cho-sang in marriage. (Quoted from DVD cover) |
