内容介绍 :	Cuixiang is forced to lead a life of chastity in the confines of her in-laws' house after the death of Yu Yude, her fiance of a prenatal marriage pledge. When the patriarch dies, Cuixiang is appointed the trustee of his inheritance. Second uncle Shengqing and aunt Yingzhi (Ouyang Shafei) covet the hefty fortune and cheat Cuixiang into changing the will. Second master Wende returns home for his father's funeral and falls in love with Cuixiang. Shengqing rapes the maid Lotus, who later commits suicide, but covers up his crime by fabricating tales of the supernatural. One night, Wende is chasing the shadow of a ghost when he encounters his father's young concubine Xiaolin and learns that she and Yude were in love but their affair ended when Yude was killed in an accident in which the father played a role. Meanwhile, Cuixiang is accused of forging the father's will and conducting an illicit affair with her husband's brother. Lotus's lover comes forward with her suicide note exposing Shengqing's vicious acts. Shengqing is sentenced for his crime, while Yingzhi is expelled from the family. Cuixiang and Wende get married and settle down in Hong Kong. Xiaolin devotes the inheritance she inherits to education and establishes school for the youths. (Quoted from DVD cover)
