内容介绍 :	Drama troupe director Zhang Shoujian and stage supervisor Li Dafeng are both vying for the affection of barmaid Dai Hua, but Dai is absorbed in the performance on stage and spills the drink over Zhang, who makes a scene of her mistake and gets her fired. The gaffer Fang Zhen witnesses the incident and introduces Dai to work at the troupe as their wardrobe supervisor when her natural gift for dancing is spotted. Impressed with Dai's improvised dance routine, Zhang and Li offer her the leading lady role in 'The Red Lotus' and a contract that pays a meagre salary, intending to put a higher price tag on their leading lady after her debut success. Fang is about to be given the wilful sack for his affair with Dai but the scheme is thwarted before any damage is done. Still Fang is nowhere in sight before the show kicks off. As the gaffer resumes his position at the backstage, Dai gathers her strengths and pulls off a sensational performance.
