| 内容介绍 : | Is it possible to accurately reconstruct an event without a camcorder or footage? Can animated cartoon be really defined as documentary? Who knows. Ningxia Journal is just my way of recapturing the journey through remote China. Everything here comes straight from my memory of Ningxia. I would like to think of it as lyrical prose to express my personal experience of what happened, rather than the objecitve truths. |
| 备注 : | Director's Note : Last summer I took a trip to Ningxia I went to a village where there is no road, no electricity and even no proper drinking water At night, under the dim light of an oil lamp, people gathered to discuss everything that concerned them These images were so stunning that I wished I could have had a camcorder with me When I cam back, I drew a 13-page comic based on what I had seen Then with the help of a trial version of n animation software, I generated comic movements, sound and other elements Not only did it expand the way I told the story, but it was also like a magic because I could do a documentary on my own, without a camcorder! |
