内容介绍 :	Chau-heung has been serving as a maid in the feudal household of old master Chan ever since she was a child, enduring ill treatment and abuse. Young master Tak-ming falls in love with Chau-heung, but he is forced by his father to marry a rich heiress. Second young master Tak-kwong is forced to marry heiress Yin-ching; as a result of a loveless marriage, husband and wife are constantly at odds and violence is even resorted to. Tak-ming acts as mediator and resolves the conflict. Meanwhile, Chau-heung continues her life of drudgery. Eventually, on the master's behest, she becomes the mistress of the womaniser Yam Hang, awaiting the day when she will be delivered of her misery. Tak-ming finally decides to cut off his ties with the feudal family, and goes off to build a new family with Chau-heung. (Based on a newspaper article.)
