内容介绍 :	Emperor Kwong Sui has fallen into a state of depression after the death of his beloved concubine Zhen. With the Boxers in rebellion at the capital, the Emperor has retreated to Xi'an with his coterie of officials and eunuchs. Wong Sheung , his faithful eunuch, has led a common stunt girl Fung-sheung to the palace to keep the Emperor company. Fung-sheung resembles the late Concubine Zhen, and soon the Emperor falls in love with her. Though the Emperor wishes to make her his concubine, Fung-sheung refuses the honour. When Empress Dowager and her chief eunuch Lee Lin-ying arrive in Xi'an, the empress, who hates Concubine Zhen's guts, is surprised to see Fung-sheung who looks the same as Zhen and soon plots to get rid of her. Lee Lin-ying, however, advises Empress Dowager not to act hastily inside the palace, for fear of provoking people's anger, and suggests that his lackeys lay an ambush and kill Fung-sheung outside the palace. Wong Sheung gives Fung-sheung some money to start an inn named Hang Fa Chuen to avoid Lin-ying's lackeys. Emperor Kwong Sui, however, misses Fung-sheung and visits her secretly. Moved by his sincerity, Fung-sheung finally agrees to be taken into concubinage. After the Boxer Uprising has been put down, Emperor Kwong Sui returns to the capital and there he confers the title of Concubine Sheung to Fung-sheung. Empress Dowager plots with a royal doctor who alleges that Fung-sheung has lung problems and has to be put in quarantine at the cold palace. Meanwhile, Emperor Kwong Sui is put under house arrest. He, again, visits Fung-sheung but is discovered by Empress Dowager. Fung-sheung is submitted to a trial and is sentenced to death . Emperor Kwong Sui is left to mourn the loss of yet another of his beloved concubine in front of her grave. (Extracted from the film brochure)
