内容介绍 :	During the Sino-Japanese war, businessman Qi Shaoan, his wife, and his twin sons Daguang and Yougang become war refugees. As they flee, Shaoan is separated from his wife and elder son. For twenty years, he searches for his loved ones but to no avail. Now that younger twin Youguang has completed his overseas education and returns, he plans to set up an arts academy on the mainland. But he needs to go to Hong Kong to buy the necessary equipment. Meanwhile, Madam Qi has been introduced by trishaw puller Ah Gen to work as a nanny at banker Chen Hanzhang's house. She and Daguang migrates with Chen's family to Hong Kong. The Chens generously allow Daguang to be educated with their twin daughters Meilian and Xiulian. Chen even offers Daguang the post of marketing manager at his bank and intends to allow his elder daughter to marry him. But Daguang is in love with Xiulian and finds Meilian an unsuitable match. Meanwhile, the younger son Youguang meets Ah Gen and Meilian. Knowing that Madam Qi has long lost contact with her husband and her other child, Ah Gen takes advantage of Youguang and exacts money from him to pay off his gambling debts. Youguang tells his father what he has heard from Ah Gen. Meanwhile, Meilian mistakes Youguang for Daguang. Thinking that Daguang is flirting around, she points an accusing finger at Daguang, to his consternation. Upset, Daguang resigns from his job. At this time, Shaoan comes to Hong Kong to seek the truth. He and Youguang are led by Ah Gen to Chen's house. Mistaking Youguang for Daguang, Hanzhang starts to score Youguang for his lack of gratefulness to him. They lock in a dispute. Finally, the confusion is cleared, and Shaoan is united with his long lost wife and elder son. (Extracted from the film novel.)
