内容介绍 :	Liu Sulian is married to Meng Yuzhang, but he is a cold and distant husband. Sulian also has to suffer the gibes of her mother-in-law. Her only consolation is from daughter Xiaolian, but the mother-in-law constantly comes between them . One day, Sulian meets her high school classmate, Zhuang Jingcheng. Being a former suitor, Jingcheng is sympathetic to her plight. Learning that Yuzhang is an unfaithful husband, he encourages her to leave him. She hesitates, being reluctant to leave her daughter . When she is discovered going out on a date with Jingcheng, she finally suggests a divorce. Yuzhang rejects. Even the mother-in-law follows everywhere she goes. A dispirited Jingcheng decides to leave the country. He makes a date to see Sulian on the eve of his departure. That day, a typhoon strikes as Sulian takes a taxi to see Jingcheng. In her haste, she leaves her bag in the taxi. The taxi falls into the sea during the storm. When it is retrieved, they find her bag and think she has drowned. Jingcheng convinces Sulian to leave with him. They soon get married. Missing her daughter, Sulian steals into the Meng home and learns that Xiaolian is dying from pneumonia. The mother-in-law appears and so does Yuzhang. He is about to hit Sulian when police arrive to arrest him for beating up his mistress. Xiaolian dies in her mother's arms. Sulian and Jingcheng leave to start a new life. (Extracted from the film novel)
