内容介绍 :	Cheung Wan meets Lam Yeuk-mui through Lam's brother, Lam Pong-ying, while serving in the army. Very soon they are talking of marriage. However, Cheung's mother wants him to marry his cousin, Lee Lei. The mother finally agrees with the marriage only through Cheung's insistence. After the marriage, Yeuk-mui struggles to get used to living in a rich family. To worsen the situation, Lee Lei sows discord between husband and wife. Yeuk-mui gives birth to a son but determines to leave soon after that. News is received that Yeuk-mui has been killed in a car accident and Cheung Wan marries Lee Lei. When his son is about six years old, Cheung Wan hires a nanny Madam Si Wan to look after him. She becomes close to the boy. Once the boy is critically ill resulted from Lee Lei's mistreatment, Madam Si spends all her time nursing the boy. When she discovers that Lee Lei trys to harm the boy using medicine, Madam Si takes off her disguise to reveal her true identity as Yeuk-mui. Fraught with guilt, Lee Lei commits suicide. Before her death, she tells Cheung Wan that Madam Si is in fact Yeuk-mui. The two are reunited. (Extracted from synopsis published in Wah Kiu Man Po, 1948 /1/20.)
