内容介绍 :	With both her parents dead, Liang Yuhua goes to Shanghai to rely on her aunt, Li Yun, a good-time girl. Yuhua falls in love with Zhang Jianming but Jianming's parents are against the match, suspecting Yuhua's background. The parents arrange for Jianming to marry Fang Muying, daughter of a rich businessman. Jianming elopes with Yuhua to build their own family. Jianming manages to find a well-paid job but when he discovers that he got the job because of his mother's influence, he resigns. Unable to find other jobs, a distressed Jianming falls ill and needs money for an operation. Yuhua goes to Jianming's parents to plead for help. When they demand that she leaves Jianming, Yuhua goes to her aunt to borrow money. With a sum of borrowed money, Yuhua goes to the hospital but discovers that Jianming's father had already arranged for him to have an operation. Yuhua is prohibited from seeing Jianming. When Yuhua goes to her aunt's birthday party, she is molested by Qian Yaotang, a rich playboy. Jianming happens to be on the scene and misunderstands that Yuhua is being unfaithful. An angry Jianming loses his step and falls down. The fall kills him. Yuhua is despondent; she accuses Jianming's father of killing him. Finally, Yuhua kills herself by jumping off a cliff.
