内容介绍 :	The Fa family is an aristocratic family, headed by Fa Ting-cheung . He hands over the family business to his capable eldest son Fa Kwok-hung, a widower now having re-married an air hostess Wu Fung. Ting-cheung's Fourth Mistress is a social butterfly who schemes to usurp the family fortune. She seduces Kwok -hung but Kwok-hung pays her no heed. She turns to the Fa family's third son Kwok-cheung and learns that he has an affair with the wife of his second brother Kwok-kwong, who in turn, is in love with Kwok- cheung's wife. They form an alliance to put pressure on Wu Fung to surrender her authority. At this point, the Fa family's fourth son Kwok-ying returns from America. From fifth sister, Kwok-ying learns of the family intrigue, and he goes to console Wu Fung. However, Kwok-hung misunderstands this gesture and becomes jealous until he is told the truth by Kwok-ying. Meanwhile, Kwok-hung's project of river bank reconstruction fails leading to its collapse and causes a serious flood. Kwok- ying helps mediating by distributing foodstuffs to placate the angry peasants. Meanwhile, Ting-cheung learns about the conspiracy and secret affairs of Fourth Mistress and his other sons. An angry Ting-cheung is about to do his worst when Kwok-ying comes forward to calm him down with reason. Ting-cheung resolves to reform his family. Fourth Mistress, however, commits suicide in shame.
