内容介绍 :	Doctor Tai Wai-lun believes that a person's value lies in whether he or she comes from a rich or poor family. In order to prove his theory, Wai-lun takes in a cigarette girl, Man Siu-fa, and resolves to teach her the manners of good breeding. Months pass. Man Siu-fa is transformed into a radiant high-class beauty. Wai-lun throws a party to introduce her to high society. Siu-fa charms all and sundry with a song. Wai- lun and Siu-fa have become close but the doctor hesitates in disclosing his love because he still thinks Siu-fa is a guttersnipe. To test his feelings, Siu-fa makes an appointment with a rich suitor, Wong Kwok-kei, to meet him in a hotel. Wai-lun becomes jealous and rushes to the hotel to search for Siu-fa. He breaks into Kwok-kei's room but discovers that Siu-fa is not the woman in his room. Returning home, Wai-lun has an argument with Siu-fa. Packing her bags to leave, Siu-fa accidentally falls down the stairs. Wai-lun hurries to save her life. Finally, love overcomes the antagonistic couple and they become husband and wife.
