内容介绍 :	The story takes place in America. Lei Fa is an orphan girl who lives with her uncle and aunt. She is in love with Hung Tsi-keung, a sailor. They plan to marry after Hung's last sea voyage but a storm sinks Hung's ship and he is washed ashore on a deserted island. Lei Fa thinks her lover has died and collapses. Recuperating in hospital, Lei Fa's fees are paid by rich man Kam Yiu-man. To repay him and her uncle's guardianship, Lei Fa marries Yiu-man and soon becomes pregnant. She later gives birth to a baby girl named Ah-mei. Tsi-keung meanwhile finds his way back to America and learns that Lei Fa has married a rich man. Tsi-keung is employed as a gardener and meets Lei Fa in her house when he sends flowers there. Trying to revive their love, Tsi-keung wants Lei Fa to elope with him but Lei Fa rejects. Meanwhile, Yiu-man thinks that Lei Fa is being unfaithful and drives her away from the house. A pregnant Lei Fa is forced to find work in a hotel where she accidentally falls down from the staircase. The baby boy Hung Ying is saved but Lei Fa dies. Before her death, Lei Fa entrusts the baby to Tsi-keung. Nineteen years later, Lei Fa's daughter, Ah Mei, grows up and falls in love with Hong Ying, Tsi-keung's son. On their wedding day, they learn that they ironically are stepbrother and stepsister. Finally, Kam Yiu-man and Hung Tsi-keung resolve their misunderstanding and their families are re-united. (Based on viewing the film.)
