内容介绍 :	Following the 'August 13 incident', the Nationalist Army is forced to retreat to the gates of the foreign concessions in Shanghai. Thousands of refugees are detained outside the gates. The Japanese are closing in on them. Country gentleman Mui Fu and his family are among the refugees seeking shelter in the foreign concessions of Shanghai. However, family members are separated in the chaos. Although they are safe from slaughter by the Japanese, they must confront the difficulties of day-to-day living in the big city. Through the Mui family, the film seeks to depict the hardships of the refugees as they flock to Shanghai, driven by Japanese invasion of the country.
