内容介绍 :	Mark, Hark and Bowie are buddies and share the same interest of gambling in horse racing. Once, Mark wins a big amount of money and proposes marriage to his girlfriend May. However, Hark is persecuted by a loan-shark, so Mark has to give the money to save his buddy's life instead. May thus breaks off with Mark. Bowie commits suicide when he knows his wife is forced to be a prostitute because he has no money for family expenses. Although he fails to kill himself, he decides to quit gambling. Mark also makes up of his mind to give up his hobby and become a businessman. He wins the forgiveness of his mother and May who give him their savings to start business. May and Mark then plan for their marriage. However, Mark's goods are stolen and they lose all the money. Mark gambles again with Hark to win back the money. May is upset by what Mark does and uses all his money to bet on the horse "Beginner's Luck". She says if the weak horse is able to win, she will marry him. To her surprise, the horse wins the champion and she agrees to marry Mark.
