内容介绍 :	One misty evening, three people head towards the waterfront separately, seeking to end their lives : Zhao Shengshi, an unemployed young man ; Deng Yuyan, a young woman who has been deceived by a man ; and Fang Deren, betrayed by his friend and accused of absconding with public funds. They are moved by each other's misfortune and resolve to face their respective hardships together. Shengshi tries once more to look for another job. He has no luck in the initial attempts, but with the assistance of Yuyan who sells her engagement ring to help the young man, Shengshi becomes a salesman. Deren introduces Yuyan to Fragrant Harbour Nightclub to work as a dancer under the alias of Yingying. Her real motive is to find the scoundrel Qian Lida who conned her of her savings. Meanwhile, Deren comes to grief again at the hands of tricksters. Heavily in debt, he contemplates suicide again, but with the help of Yuyan, the tricksters and their thugs fall into the hands of the law. All three find new directions in life.
