内容介绍 :	Teacher Yam Chung meets Yip Ching on board a train to Guangzhou. Later, they meet by chance in a hotel and their relationship deepens. Back in Hong Kong, she asks him for help. Chung arranges for her to stay with his friends Mr and Mrs Hung Mo, and Cheung Tsi-yee. Ching excels in singing, but her background remains a mystery as she goes missing twice. Ching is in fact opera star Tsi-ping, who runs away from home twice because her mother forces her to marry businessman Wu Siu-kuk. On both occasions, her mother manages to trick her into returning home. Meanwhile, Chung's mind is preoccupied with the missing Ching. One day, he goes to watch an opera and sees Tsi-ping on the stage. Backstage, he approaches her but she denies that she is Ching. However, Chung meets her father, Chung-hang, who tells him the full story. Chung-hang, now a successful businessman, leaves his wife because he is unhappy with her forcing Ching to learn opera. Chung and Chung-hang plan to take Ching away from Hong Kong. Chung finally convinces Ching to go away with him, but Siu-kuk gets wind of the plan and sends his thugs to beat Chung up. Mo and Tzi-yee come to Chung's aid. Ching escapes in a car but it runs off a cliff. She is semi-paralysed. In hospital, Chung declares his undying love for her. Though her mother expresses her willingness to reconcile with Chung-hang, he does not reciprocate her feelings. On the radio, Tsi-ping's voice is heard, singing the 'Song of Everlasting Sorrow.'
