内容介绍 :	Ming Emperor Ka Ching twice disguised himself as a commoner and went among the populace. On each occasion, he took a concubine -- Cheung Yuen-chun and Yim Yuet-kiu. The latter is the daughter of fortune-teller Yim Sung. The emperor made Sung a minister and he rode roughshod over the populace. Yuen-chun gives birth to crown prince Lung Wan, who grows up and becomes dissatisfied with his father's debauchery and neglect of state affairs. Seeing that imperial scholar Hoi Shui is a fearless and righteous man, Lung Wan encourages him to impeach Sung. Shui makes 10 attempts to impeach Sung. However, swayed by Yuet-kiu, the emperor arrests Shui and imprisons him. Yuen-chun, who owes Shui a debt of gratitude for saving her life before, orders that he be brought to her. She encourages him to be unrelenting. Yuet-kiu, getting wind of this, tells the emperor that Yuen-chun and Shui are having an affair. The pair is put on trial and Yuen-chun is found guilty and given a death sentence. An angry Lung Wan summons the nobles to dissolve the ministry and search Sung's residence. They find evidence of Yim Sung's conspiracy against the palace. He is demoted back to being a commoner and eventually starves to death. Shui's innocence is established, while Yuen-chun is reinstalled as the emperor's concubine. (Extracted from the film handbill)
