内容介绍 :	Kong Bing-fong is the son of a rich man who is engaged to Chan Yuk-ha, a daughter of another rich man. Unhappy with Yuk-ha's spoilt manners and penchant for leisure, an angry Bing-fong leaves her, and falls in love with a maid Yuet-ming. Some time later , Bing-fong's father declares a bankruptcy. Bing-fong is forced to marry Yuk-ha so as to secure the Chan family's funding to cover his father's debts. Yuet-ming is now pregnant, but she chooses to leave Bing-fong. After the marriage, Bing-fong is humiliatied and beaten up by a foe and becomes a cripple as a result. Unable to stand the shock, Yuk-ha has a difficult labour while giving birth to a baby and dies. The Chans refused to sponsor the Kongs family. Bing-fong is driven to despair. Making matters worse, his family mansion is gutted by a fire. Yuet-ming has married a worker, Yik Kim-sheung, and has given birth to a daughter, Ah Suet. Seventeen years pass. Bing-fong is now a newspaper vendor. Ah Suet brings food to Kim-sheung everyday. She sees Bing-fong on her way to the workshop and gets acquainted with him. Out of sympathy, Ah Suet washes Bing-fong's clothes and brings him food. Discovering this, Kim-sheung is very angry and divulges the secret that Ah Suet is his stepdaughter. Meanwhile, Yuet-ming learns that Bing-fong is down and out. She secretly sends him food and clothing. One night, Bing-fong finds out that the woman who has visited him is his former lover, Yuet-ming. Kim-sheung also discovers his wife's secret deeds.
