内容介绍 :	Sau-ching is the son of Wah Hin-chung, boss of the Kin Ping Company. Having won the appreciation of managing director Lau Tsi-ming of the parent company in Southeast Asia, Sau-ching is dispatched overseas to develop his career. He leaves on his father's orders despite the fact that he is in love with the maid Siu-hung, who is bearing his child. Hin-chung's wife discovers Siu-hung's pregnancy and is told about her relationship with Sau- ching. She commands Ah Tak, the servant, to bring Siu-hung home and to await further orders once she has given birth. Meanwhile, Sau-ching is staying in the home of the Lau family and greatly impresses old man Tsi-ming with his work. Tsi-ming's daughter, Ming-ang, is drawn to Sau-ching. Hin-chung lies to his son, telling him that Siu-hung has killed herself so that Sau-ching may marry Ming-ang. The newly- married couple returns to Hong Kong. Siu-hung sees Sau-ching walking hand-in-hand with Ming-ang and suffers a shock that leads to a premature delivery. Sau-ching soon finds out the truth through Ah Tak and goes to see Siu-hung. Ming-ang, too, learns of the affair and liaises with her parents-in-law, forcing Hin-chung to adopt Siu-hung's baby and banish the mother. Unable to resist, Siu-hung leaves and resolves to become independent. Four years later, Siu-hung by chance enters the Wah home to serve as a domestic servant. She witnesses her son Kei-mui receiving cruel treatment from Ming-ang. Sau-ching is overjoyed to see Siu-hung again, but the lovers' private conversations are overheard by Ming-ang, who plans to poison Kei-mui to death. An angry Siu-hung confronts Ming-ang after discovering the plan. Hin-chung, fearful of the Laus' power and influence, presses Siu-hung to calm her anger. Cognizant at last of the feudal oppression in the Wah household, Siu-hung plugs up courage and takes Kei-mui away with her. (Extracted from the film handbill.)
