内容介绍 :	Widower Ma Sung-yin, a qualified City Examination Candidate of the former Qing dynasty, is a sanctimonious hypocrite. He has a son called Sze-yin, and daughter Yuen -yee. He disciplines them rather strictly. Yin asks Fourth Aunt to find a maid. She finds a pretty maid called Wong Kiu. He is blinded by the desire to take the maidservant Wong Kiu as his concubine and fails to perceive her intention of swindling him out of his money. Military officer Ku Man-fai commands troops for defending the village in which Yin lives. He meets Yin's daughter Yee and they fall in love at the first sight. Fai woos Yee and sends his subordinate Chow Choi to investigate into the family. However, he is discovered and beaten up by Yin, so he has to escape. Fai disguises himself as doctor and diagnoses Yee. He meets her and asserts his love. Yin finds out and throws him out. Choi bribes Kiu to deliver mail for Fai and Yee in order to cure their lovesickness. Kiu does everything to please Yin and Yin is transported. Choi exposes the plot of Fourth Aunt and Kiu. He reprimands Kiu and also asserts his love for her. Kiu is happy at heart. Meanwhile Yin returns and finds out the truth. He quarrels with Choi as Fai comes. Fai is actually Yin's nephew and has an engagement with Yee. When Yee knows the truth, she is happy. Choi successfully matches Fai with Yee, and wins Kiu's heart.
