内容介绍 :	Lee Yuk-lan and Chow Yin-ping are friends. Yin -ping introduces her cousin, Cheung Yiu-man, a poor painter, to Yuk-lan. Yiu-man' father Lok-chuen, together with his younger sister, are singing in the streets to make ends meet. One day, Lok- chuen is mocked during his performance. In sympathy, Yuk-lan agrees to sing for him. Her pretty looks and voice please the audience and Lok-chuen regains his pride. The hotel manager, Fung Tak-ying, admires Yuk-lan. Thinking that she is Lok-chuen's daughter, he assists Yiu-man to be a famous artist. However, Tak-ying is also having an affair with Pak Yuk-mui, a co-worker in the hotel. He makes her pregnant but refuses to marry her because he likes Yuk-lan. Yuk-lan's foster father, Lee Do-hong, in exchange for money, arranges for her to become the concubine of Fung Cho-chi, who is Tak-ying's father. Yuk-lan refuses and is locked up at home. She is freed by her foster mother and goes looking for Yiu-man, but the latter is preparing to marry his cousin Yin-ping. Tak-ying, Cho-chi and Lok-chuen also show up at Yiu -man's home. Thus, Tak-ying finds out that he and his father both want the same woman. Yuk-lan reveals that she is in love with Yiu-man but is not willing to break up anybody's relationship. At the end, she decides to live with her aunt, leaving Yiu-man to marry Yin-ping, while Tak-ying marries Yuk-mui. (Based on viewing of the film.)
