内容介绍 :	A young man and a young girl involving in a patricidal case are in hot pursuit by a police car. They are then sent to hospital for sustaining injuries in a car collision. This case is in fact related to a murder case that happened many years ago. Twenty years ago, Both Wang Tingjie and Zhang Xueming are in love with the same woman Li Qiuhua, their classmate. Hua discovers that Jie's father is extremely conservative and tyrannical, it is Ming whom Hua chooses to marry. Jie murders the couple in a fit of rage and escapes. Hua's mother brings up the granddaughter Zhang Ruhui but she carefully avoids mentioning the death of her parents. She only tells the girl the truth when she is seventeen years old. It is during war-time and she travels far and wide in China with her grandmother in search of the murderer without success. They stay in the house of Hui's good friend Lien-na. Na has been forced to become a courtesan because the war brings destruction to her family. She socializes with a rich businessman Wang Tingjie and his son Langqing . Hui accidentally discovers the rich businessman looks exactly like the murderer. She follows the steps of Na to become a dancing hostess to facilitate the contact with Jie, so that one day she can take her revenge. Jie has been courting Na but he later slavers after the beautiful Hui, Qing is also enamored with Hui. Meanwhile Jie invites Hui to the house with a sexual intention. Hui finds evidence which indicates that Jie was the murderer. she wants to kill Jie and the two struggle against each other. At that moment Qing arrives, leading to the tragedy of Qing killing his own father by mistake, so Qing and Hui have to flee.
