内容介绍 :	Young girl Wu So-chau admires opera star Hon Ngai-sing, but So-chau's ill-disposed stepmother stops her from going any further than infatuation. Despite of this, So-chau goes to the backstage to see Ngai-sing, but the star ignores her. After the death of her father, So-chau's stepmother forces her to sing for a living. So-chau becomes famous, while Ngai-sing's career is on the downturn after a scandalous affair involving an official's wife. Ngai-sing becomes ill as a result. So-chau visits him and tends to his medical needs. Her act moves Ngai-sing. As he is on the course to recovery, Ngai-sing is evicted from his premises by thugs. Thus, he and So-chau are separated. So-chau thinks that Ngai-sing has run away from her. On the advice of her stepmother, So-chau marries Lui Chiu-kwun, the son of a rich man. One evening, So-chau and her husband go to see an opera. She sees Ngai-sing among the audience and learns the truth about Ngai -sing's departure. So-chau promises to help him with money to start his career again. Back home, as So-chau retrieves her money, a quarrel with her husband breaks out. In an ensuing struggle, So-chau falls down the stairs . A wounded So-chau nonetheless struggles to Ngai-sing's home to give him the money, and dies. In memory of So-chau, Ngai-sing writes and performs a special opera titled Autumn Tomb dedicated to her.
