内容介绍 :	Lin Ching-yi works as a teacher to support her father, who is sick. However, Yi is not very happy with her job and at one point she wants to quit. First of all, she is not interested in teaching, and secondly, she is being harassed by a student. She only changes her mind about staying on the job after the misbehaving student has come to apologise to her. She gradually learns more about students and teaching as she continues to work. A student, Chen Mun, must miss school as he has to run a vegetable stall for his mother. To make up for his absence, Yi offers to give him private lessons so that he can catch up on his work. The school bag of another student, He Sho-chuen, is thrown away by the father, who decides not to allow his son to continue school. After she tries to understand his family background, Yi successfully convinces He's father to change his mind and to allow his son to continue his education. She turns out to be a very good teacher who cares very much about her students. The Principal then asks her to stay on teaching. But as Yi doesn't like teaching that much, she decides to go with her boyfriend, Shih-chieh, to study overseas. Later, Yi's father develops cancer and only has another three months to live. Her father tells her that he has no regrets in his thirty year teaching career. Yi finally realises that her father is more than just a mediocre person, as she used to think, and that teaching is not a mediocre profession. She is pleased to see the students' improvement in the course of teaching. Seeing the students progress, Yi is happy. When her father finally dies, she decides to stay on and continue her teaching career at the school.
