内容介绍 :	In order to look after her sick husband Mok Han-tin, Ngai Kit-sheung works as a dance hall stripper by night, without her family's knowledge. One night, Kit-sheung returns home after getting away from the clutches of her lecherous boss. Mok Han-tin learns the truth and , depressed and filled with hatrEditor, vomits blood. Kit-sheung is forced once again to return to the dance hall to earn money to pay for his medical expenses. On the way to work, Kit-sheung meets her former classmate and lover, Sat Gong-wah. In the dance hall, she meets another old friend, Man Si-mang, bringing back memories of the old days. Kit-sheung, Gong-wah, Si-mang and Han-tin are former classmates. Ten years ago , Kit-sheung and her stepmother did not get along. She was taken in by Gong-wah and they became lovers. However, Gong-wah's mother conspired to break up the lovers and had Kit-sheung expelled from the house. With the help of Han-tin, Kit-sheung found employment as a teacher. As the war erupts, she and Gong-wah lost contact with each other. Kit-sheung heard that he had been killed and as a result, married Han-tin whose health deteriorated during the war. To make a living, Kit-sheung was forced to work as a stripper. After the show, Si-mang escorts Kit-sheung home. Gong-wah also rushed there with the much needed money, only it to find the dying of Han-tin. After Han-tin's death, Si-mang dedicates himself to education, while Kit-sheung and Gong-wah leave together to a distant place to become teachers. (Extracted from the film brochure.)
