内容介绍 :	Yan Fengying is poor and helpless, she works at a rich family as a maid. Seduced and raped by her master Lin Dazhong, a pregnant Ying is banished from the house. Ying gives birth to a boy, Xiaoying. Zhong finally abandons her and wants to take Xiaoying away from her. Ying is forced to flee to Hong Kong with the son. After they arrive in Hong Kong, Ying works laboriously to raise Xiaoying, living a meager life. Once, Xiaoying catches hepatitis. Ying resorts to prostitution in order to bring up her son Xiaoying. As Xiaoying is growing up, Yan gives up her old trade . Xiaoying is a very good child, he distributes newspapers and brushes shoes to lessen his mother's burden. Even though life is hard, they stick with each other for hard and good times. The hard labour Ying has endured throughout the years nearly costs her eyesight. Xiaoying becomes a pickpocket in order to support his mother and has inadvertently fallen in love with Zhong's foster daughter Zhu Lifen. Xiaoying is arrested in the end while Ying collapses from exhaustion.
