内容介绍 :	To Lai-kwan is originally engaged to marry Lau Mong-ping. But the status and reputation of Mong-ping's family have declined. Lai-kwan's father Sau-yan, who despises the poor and respects the rich, forces Lai-kwan to abandon Mong-ping and seek another man. Lai-kwan kills herself to show clearly her wish of being with Mong-ping. Several months later Mong-ping seeks refuge with Sau-yan, without knowing that Lai-kwan has died already. He is arranged to live at the backyard of the house for the time being. He meets Lai-kwan's phantom every night. Sau- yan frankly tells him that Lai-kwan is dead and is prepared to engage her youngest daughter Yuen-kwan to marry Mong-ping. But Mong-ping is faithful to Lai-kwan and refuses to marry Yuen-kwan. Sau-yan thus engages Yuen-kwan to Yeung Yiu-wai. In the night, Lai-kwan bitterly persuades Mong-ping to cut off their man-ghost relationship. But Mong-ping swears that he will never break his engagement oath. Lai-kwan cannot help but no longer appears again. Yuen-kwan loves Mong-ping so much that she disguises herself as Lai-kwan's phantom and attempts to run away with Mong-ping secretly. But she is prevented from doing so by Sau-yan. To avoid further trouble , Yiu-wai and Sau-yan force Mong-ping to write a statement to break off his engagement. Lai-kwan appears and plays a trick on them. Yiu-wai finally shrinks back. Failing to marry Mong-ping and being forced to break off her engagement, Yuen-kwan loses all her reputation and does not have the courage to face other people. She has no other alternatives but to hang herself. Lai-kwan seizes this opportunity to revive herself in a new guise, break the coffin and is reborn. She and Mong-ping then return to their hometown and get married.
