内容介绍 :	Chow is the head of the Tai-O Police Department. He is content with the peaceful life of Tai-O. One night, he and his subordinate, Sergeant Kong, discover the body of a villager, Simon. Kong meets Michael Cheung, Superintendent of the Homicide Department, on the spot and arrests him. Then Kong finds out that he is mistaken. Michael is only on holiday with his girlfriend, Linda. As Michael is already involved in the case, his superior Lee sends him to investigate the murder. Michael is an overseas Chinese and is deeply influenced by western ideology, so he is in conflict with the laid-back Chow and other police. Michael finds out that Simon had disputes with many villagers, and he intends to investigate them all. The daughter of the village head, Fa, does not get along well with her father. She deliberately tells Michael that Simon and her father were at odds because of their real estate business. She repeatedly gives out false information that leads Chow and Michael to think that the village head and the people around him are all suspects. The villagers do not like Michael's investigation and his open attitude. They want to drive him away, and almost beat him up. Luckily, Chow helps him out. Michael begins to see Chow's other side. The Coroner finds out that Simon had sex with a girl of blood type B before his death. Fa's blood type is B and she lacks an alibi. She finally confesses that Simon wanted to rape her that night and she killed him in a fit of anger. Chow and Michael promise Fa they will try their best to commute her sentence. Because of the murder, Chow and Michael become good friends.
