内容介绍 :	Down-and-out businessman Mui Pak-kan forces his daughter Lai to marry dandy Choi Chim-sun. Lai is unwilling to comply and the father and daughter refuse to give in to each other. Lai disowns her father and obtains help from her mother to wed Yeung Lap-wai, a mere employee of a commercial firm. Lai and Wai immediately get married. Agitated by this, Sun swears to put them in hot waters. But Kan and Sun never cease to exert pressure on the couple. After their marriage, Sun uses his power to dismiss Wai, as has expected. He even makes trouble when Lai works as a salesgirl in a department store and the latter loses her job. At that time, the couple already has three kids. Wai has to do some odd jobs and take some part-time jobs at night. He works so hard that he gets very sick in the end. Lai has to take up the situation but she can only work as a boarding maid. Out of her expectation, she meets her father and Sun in her master's house. They do not miss their chance in humiliating her. During one such struggle, Lai is knocked down by a car and dies. Wai vows to give their three children a good upbringing.
