内容介绍 :	Due to his father's death, Ho Mung-ha is forced to work as a teacher in the countryside before he can finish his degree. He stays in his old friend Mr. Tsui's house. The daughter-in-law of the Tsuis is named Lily Pak who has been widow for years. Feudal ethics and rites overwhelm the love between widow Lily and Ha. Turning down Ho's courtship, Pak instead hastens the matching of Ho with her sister-in-law Kwan-sin. On their wedding day, Ha confesses that his heart has no place for Sin. Lily tries to put in a word for the bride but their assignation is mistaken as a rendezvous between the old lovers. Feeling wronged, Lily collapses. Before she dies, Lily asks Ha to embrace Sin's love.
