内容介绍 :	Yuk Yin's father falls ill and dies when she is thirteen. Her mother has to remarry so as to settle the debts. Yuk Yin is arranged to live with Auntie Wong. From then on, Chi Hung, Auntie Wong's son and Yuk Yin live and play together. But the Wongs has to move away. Yuk Yin is forced to stay with her mother. Her stepfather loves money more than his life. When Yuk Yin grows up to an adult, he pushes her to get married in order to get money. Considering her daughter's future, Yuk Yin's mother sends her away during the night. Yuk Yin goes to do manual labor in a restaurant. When she learns that her mother is suffering a serious illness, she promises to marry a rich young man who is going to die of his illness in order to get money for her mother's treatment. After her mother's death, Yuk Yin has to get married immediately, but her husband dies on the wedding night. Her mother-in-law sees this as unauspicious and expels Yuk Yin from the house. Later, Yuk Yin chances to meet Chi Hung. They still love each other. They get married and have a son Kwok Wah. Happiness never lasts. Chi Hung dies on his job. Yuk Yin is forced to work as a dance girl to support their living. When Kwok Wah grows up, he cannot accept what his mother has done. But soon after, he understands that Yuk Yin is a respectable mother. Happiness is ultimately for Yuk Yin.
