内容介绍 :	Mary Wong and Chiu Ming have been in love for a long time, but the parents on both sides want rich marriage partners for their children. Ming pretends to be a returned overseas Chinese from South America, so he can ask Mary's parents for her hand. But his honesty causes him to give himself away, so he is rejected. Mary cries and complains to her old school friend Mui-fong about how stupid Ming is. It so happens that Fong's father is actually a rich businessman from South America, and he's willing to brag about Ming's wealth to Mary's parents, so they will believe Ming. On the other hand, Ming's parents also learn that Mary is a rich girl, so they propose the marriage to the Wong family. Mary's parents treat her like an object and keep raising her price. So, the parents on both sides fail to reach an agreement. Ming and Mary thus have to pretend to go and find another partner, and not see each other. But then, when both families hear what their children say, they become anxious and ask them to get engaged immediately. At the engagement banquet, guests come to expose both sets of parents and all four are speechless. So they have to allow Ming and Mary to get engaged.
