内容介绍 :	Chi-mei and Chi-fung fail to find Aunt Kuk's friend and drift in the streets. They meet Suk-fan again, who treats them as if they were her own children. She brings them home to live with her own son, Chi-shing, and hires Aunt Kuk to look after them. To raise her children, Fan works in a dance hall every night without complaint or regret. Ten years pass. Unfortunately, Shing falls ill and the medical fees are expensive. Mei, who wants to return Fan's loving kindness, borrows money from the manager of the dance hall. Because of this, she nearly loses her chastity. Fan saves her by accidentally killing the manager and is sentenced to seven years' imprisonment. Mei manages a full-time job and also works as a freelance writer. Her work is highly appreciated. Fung also gives up his education and, together with his sister, helps Shing so that he can attend university. But Shing breaks off contact with the two of them later in order to marry a rich girl. Both Mei and Fung cannot do anything but sigh. They never let Fan know about Shing's behaviour. After Fan is released from jail, she learns about Shing's behaviour from Aunt Kuk. She is so agitated that she dies. Shing finally comes to see his own mistakes and apologises to everyone. Before, the woman with whom Ho-cheung cohabited took all his possessions and ran away secretly. Ho-cheung's reputation has also been destroyed. He meets Fung by chance and goes to Fan's grave. At this time, good and bad feelings vanish into thin air.
