内容介绍 :	Yuk-lan has completed her secondary education. Through the introduction of a church, she works as a housekeeper in the Sze's family, a distinguished family in town. Quick-witted and competent, she is also a matchmaker for the third daughter Lai-shan. Furthermore, she also guides another daughter Lai-lai in her studies. She therefore has a significant position in the house. The third son Chin-pang comes back from England to attend the wedding of Lai-shan . He falls in love with the independent-minded Yuk-lan. Yuk-lan knows her position and dares not accept the courtship of Chin-pang. Only through the encouragement of Lai-lai, does she start the romance with Chin-pang. But the Sze's family cannot accept a love affair between the boss and the subordinate. It arranges a marriage between Chin-pang and Annie. Madam Sze even begs Yuk-lan to leave Chin-pang. The latter can only agree. Although Chin-pang and Annie has a girl after they get married, their relations are far from harmonious. As for Yuk-lan, she has to stay away. Her dwelling place is remotely situated in the countryside. Seven years later, Lai-lai meets Yuk-lan again. Madam Sze is very ill. She senses that after her death her children will squander the inheritance of the family. She begs Yuk-lan to accept a portion of the property. The latter agrees. After Madam Sze dies, Annie divorces Chin- pang because she cannot get the entire sum of the property. Chin-pang and Yuk-lan are together at last.
