内容介绍 :	Singer Golden Lotus earns her living in a teahouse, her only relative is her adopted mother and they depend on each other. Not only does she sing sweetly, she also has tender and lovely looks. Further on, she is clever and smart, so customers frequent the teahouse. Rich heir Cheng Ching-you is infatuated with Lotus. You's heartfelt sentiments move Lotus and they fall in love with each other. Succumbing to his father's objection, You marries Shen Shuwen, but his love for Lotus remains fervent. You even tells Wen their relations. Wen is in great grief over the message but she still stands on his side. The male elder cousin of You realizes that You still has contacts with Lotus, he tells this to You's father, unbeknownst to You. You is then rebuked by his father, he thinks that it is Wen who tells this to his father. From then onwards, he pays no heed to Wen. Wen feels that You has wronged her, she is depressed and she falls sick. Yet You still gives her a cold shoulder, which makes her even more sick. Seeing this, cousin goes by himself to look for Lotus and persuades her to leave You, so that Wen can be saved. Lotus has no choice but to agree in tears, she decides to go to a faraway place. Suffering You's indifference and slight, Wen soon dies of grief. In defiance of family doctrine, You runs away with Lotus.
