内容介绍 : Yeung Sung -mo, a master of Taiji boxing has a son Hok-man just when he thinks he had past his prime. Feeling uneasy about the treachery in the martial art world, Yeung wants to retire. He calls a gathering of all boxers to witness his retirement by washing his hands in a golden bowl. The ceremony is interrupted by Wong, another martial artist nicknamed the "Northern Leg", who challenges Yeung to a dual. Wong is defeated and left with a grudge. Yeung moves to Hangzhou and lives in seclusion. Hok-man grows up. Fearing that he may run into trouble, Yeung forbid Man to go outside. There is a festival to commemorate the Dragon King. When Man and his cousin hears about it, they cannot resist the temptation and sneaks out . Man meets his dream girl Wan at the festival. In order to be closer to Wan, Man joins a rebel organization against the government. He fights with Smith, a foreign merchant, with his ponytail in front of a crowd near the pier. He uncovers that Smith is actually smuggling opium. Though an opium user himself, Wan's father is also the Chief of Custom and has to confiscate the opium. Man also assists Wan's father to stop taking opium and boosted morale among his solider. Wan fiancee Wing is not happy with what Man is doing for the Wan's family. Wan asks Man to be her escort to Wing's birthday party. On the way Wong the Northern Leg shows up. Man fights Wong with the Taiji boxing he secretly learns from his father by watching on the side and together with his trained pony tail skill, Man outwitted Wong with his martial arts and they become friends. Wing is jealous. He challenges Man to a dual and is defeated. Smith has Wing murders and frames it on Man to avenge his humiliation. Fortunately another rebel organization member witnesses the setup. The governor sends troops to apprehend Man and amidst the chaos Smith tries to recover his opium at the custom's warehouse. Man and Wong rush to the scene and jointly fight Smith. The eyewitness to Wing's murder also gives testimony, and Wan shoots Smith.
