内容介绍 :	The story takes place between the late Ming and early Ching dynasties. Lee Heung-kwan is a famous courtesan. She cherishes love and respect for the literati How Chiu-chung, because he beats up the traitor official Yuen Tai-shing. The marriage between Lee and How breaks up when they discover that it was a set-up by Yuen to bribe How. Yuen send soldiers to arrest How, and forces Lee to marry a rich merchant. Lee refuses and knocks her head against a pillar, spilling blood on a fan. The blood becomes part of a painting of peach bolssoms on the fan. How goes south to join the opposition against the Manchus, and Lee hides in a monastery to escape persecution. After several years, How comes to fetch Lee. When Lee discovers that How is dressed as a Ching official, she cuts her hair and becomes a nun in protest against How's disloyalty.
