内容介绍 :	When Chun Kim-ha returns to the country after suppressing a minority insurrection, he plans to marry a courtesan, Yung Yim-ling. Ling is pregnant with Ha's son. However, The couple is broken up by fate. Ling is to marry Prince Chun Fai by imperial decree. Meanwhile, Ha is taken in as the husband of Princess Ka Sim. Ling has to pretend to be ill in order to postpone her wedding so she can buy time to give birth to Ha's son. In the meantime, Ha's wife, the princess, suffers a miscarriage and loses her child. In order to secure the inheritance of the throne, the princess has to find a replacement for the lost baby. The lady in waiting who is sent on this mission runs into Ling's father, Sim chances to adopt Ling's son, Siu-ching . On their wedding night, when Fai learns that Ling is not a virgin, he is furious and demotes her to the rank of a slave. Ling and her father continuing to live in misery. Ten years later, Ha takes his family to visit Ling, whereupon the spoilt son, Ching, complains that Ling's singing is unpleasant. Fai seizes the chance to humiliate Ling by whipping her and Ching joins in. Ha is forced to suffer this scene in silent, blood-spitting rage. Ling's father can no longer withhold the truth that Ching is, in fact, Ling's son. One day, Ling secretly visits her son and alerts Sim, who exiles her and her father to beyond the border and never to return. Ha brings his child to search for Ling. Both Sim and Fai realise that their marriages are doomed and let Ling return to her family.
