内容介绍 :	In the fifties, northerners flock to Hong Kong. The dialect and customs of these northerners are different from those of the local Cantonese, causing much misunderstanding and prejudice. Ng Lung-mong has such a northerner neighbour, Wong Tin-sang, and there are constant arguments between the two. Ng finds the northerner much too concerned about appearance while Wong finds the Cantonese good for nothing. Ng's daughter Kai-mui is home from studying abroad, accompanied by classmate Pok Wah-sang, who happens to be Wong's nephew. Pok has brought with him a sum of money to start a business in Hong Kong. Wong wants Pok to invest in his business while Ng wanted Pok to be his business partner. This of course leads to even more ill feeling between the two families. Ng's son, Kai-mong, finds out his pen pal for over a year is in fact Wong's daughter, Fung-ngor, who often argues with him. They become friends and fall in love. However, the parents on both sides are against their love. Pok tells the two to pretend to be mad, so that their parents will put their quarrel aside. The plan works. But quarrels erupt again as soon as they find out their children were just pretending. Pok then threatens not to invest in their business unless they stop quarrelling. The two families finally put aside their prejudice and become one.
