内容介绍 : Dumb Uncle is a retired military man. He earns his livelihood by collecting bottles. He accidentally finds a forsaken baby, whom he names Ah Mei. She brings a lot of happiness as well as pain to Dumb Uncle. His girl friend leaves him after Ah Mei breaks into their relationship. Dumb Uncle gives Ah Mei all his love and carries her in his bicycle cart to do the daily hard work. Dumb Uncle is a good trumpeter, and Ah Mei has liked singing since she was a child. After she reaches adulthood, she sings in a bar. A record company tries to transform her into a great star. She is asked to adopt the image of a girl from a well-to-do family. So she is forced not to openly acknowledge Dumb Uncle to be her father . To achieve great success and to improve their quality of life, Ah Mei promises the record company to go on singing tours. Dumb Uncle falls very ill, missing Ah Mei. When the neighbors succeed in telling her to go to the hospital, Dumb Uncle has already left this world.
