内容介绍 :	The Prime Scholar in both literature and martial arts, Lau Yu-chun, has learnt that the eight beauties of Soochow are as beautiful as angels. He asks Yeung Yuk-wah, brother of the eight beauties, to arrange a marriage with them. The eight beauties agree to serve one husband. As one of them is quite obese, they fear that Yu-chun may not be happy and may even want to divorce her. Yuk-wah thrashes out a plan. On the day of the marriage, before all the officials who came to celebrate, Yuk-wah makes Yu-chun promise never to divorce any of them. To Yu-chun's dismay, when the beauties come out one by one, each looks uglier than the one before. He becomes very upset and blacks out. When the beauties reveal their true countenances Yu-chun is happy again. Now the beauties demand his obedience and he refuses. To teach him a lesson, three of the beauties sit for the state examination and are chosen the best three scholars. The other five accuse Yu-chun of jilting them, while the three act as judges. Before the trial ends , all the beauties give birth to babies and the court is turned into a nursery. Yu-chun is not moved, and the Emperor decides to exile him. The eight beauties persuade their husband to repent, but he refuses. Meanwhile, Yuk-wah brings the royal decree to bid Yu-chun to return home. The beauties then admit their fault and Yu-chun returns to a happy home.
