内容介绍 :	Young Hsu Chienpai falls in love with Lan during a vacation at home, but Lan's parents want her to marry the soldier, Li. So nothing comes of heir romance. Chienpai meets Cousin Chiu Ming when he returns to school after the vacation. He feels nothing for her at first, but the open and forthright Chiu Ming takes good care of him when he suffers from typhoid. Love grows between the two, but he still cannot forget Lan. After much struggling, Chienpai leaves to attend university in the north. On the train going north, he meets a group of enthusiastic youths who call themselves the Self-Governing Group, and he joins in eagerly. The Group's leader Nan is daring and decisive, and Chienpai is greatly impressed. They fall in love. Then comes the Marco Polo Bridge Incident. China and Japan are at war.
